The Pirate Festival is one of the newest exciting events to take place on Fort Myers Beach. The 3rd Annual Pirate Festival will provide entertainment for the whole family.
From treasure hunts to pirate invasions, this festival has it all. Entertainment is provided by pirate crews who battle amongst themselves with sword fighting and cannons. Actors, story tellers, and musicians join together to create this medieval experience.
The Pirate Festival kicks off with a pirate parade that marches through Snug Harbor and Times Square. Actors and spectators dress to the occasion in their pirate-inspired attire. Treasure hunts follow the invasion, which is a family favorite. Kids search the island to find the buried treasure.
Families get together every year to participate in the Crew Crawl. Each crew is given a map to follow and they must venture to all of the designated spots to win the treasure. All of the merchants involved in the Crew Crawl try to create a real pirate experience with fun games and contests.
